A BIG CHEERS TO STARBUCKS

Newlife’s super social supporters have helped the charity secure £2000 from Starbucks as part of the coffee company's #CheerForGood campaign.

The initiative, which ran from 29th November to 20th December, saw 210 charities competing to make the most ‘noise’ on Twitter and neighbourly.com.  The 30 charities who generated the likes or retweets from their community supporters received £2000 – of which Newlife was one!

Charities were nominated to take part in the campaign by Starbucks partners and customers across the country.  Newlife’s campaign kicked off at Starbucks Stafford where the team made as much ‘noise’ as possible, as well as selling jewellery and Christmas items donated to the charity by high street retailers – offering Starbuck’s staff and customers the chance to grab a bargain!

Chris Fielding, Deputy Community Fundraising Manager for Newlife, said: “A huge thank you to our incredibly sociable community of supporters who kept the noise going through the campaign.  And thanks to Starbuck’s too for their ongoing support for charities around the UK.  Newlife will ensure the £2000 will be used to buy desperately needed specialist equipment for disabled and terminally ill children in the West Midlands.”
