The initiative kicks off this week and is being run at selected Schuh stores across the UK including: intu Merry Hill Shopping Centre branch in Dudley, Ropewalk Shopping Centre in Nuneaton, Meadowhall in Sheffield, Royal Avenue in Belfast, Clarence Street in Kingston, The Grand Arcade in Cambridge, Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester, The Grand Arcade in Wigan and the Arndale Centre in Luton.
Schuh is calling on ‘kindly soles’ to donate pairs of old shoes in exchange for a £10 voucher to spend in store. All shoes collected will be sent to Newlife where they will be re-sold or recycled to raise money to support disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.
The promotion will run in selected stores until 12 November. There’s no restriction on the number of pre-loved pairs you can give – so get rummaging at the back of the wardrobe and under the bed to see how many you can find. Schuh will give a £10 voucher per pair which can be redeemed against the cost of a brand new pair of shoes or boots in store.
Newlife’s Head of Charity Operations Stephen Morgan said: “Last year hundreds of Schuh customers stepped-up and took part in this promotion, raising valuable funds for the charity which in turn helped us to fund vital equipment grants for families in need. We are extremely grateful to Schuh and their customers for the generous and continued support.”
Newlife is the UK’s largest charity provider of specialist equipment for children with disabilities and terminal illness.
