CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF CARE AND ACTION

Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children is celebrating 30 years of helping disabled children and their families across the UK – and the charity is inviting everyone to celebrate with them!

On March 13 a special celebration event will be live streamed on Facebook and YouTube, between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, featuring a variety of performances from a range of talented acts for everyone to enjoy, with actor Will Mellor, of Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Broadchurch fame, hosting the event and introducing singers, a comedian and even poetry from Birmingham’s Poet Laureate Casey Bailey.

Acts will also include Cannock singer Georgia Bray who wowed audiences on Olly Murr’s team on The Voice in 2019, while singer and songwriter Chelsea Williams will be dialling in from Los Angeles to showcase her folksy / Americana style songs which are sure to impress.

The night will also see the launch the Makers Charity Raffle, with tickets priced at £2 each or £5 for a strip. Each £30 donation made to Newlife on Saturday March 13 and Sunday March 14 will automatically enter you into The Makers Raffle, as well as the Big Brand Raffle and the annual Autumn Raffle scheduled for later this year.

Newlife has been providing care and action for disabled children and their families for the past 30 years. Newlife CEO Sheila Brown co-founded the charity after struggling to get the disability equipment she needed for her own disabled children, and she wanted to help other families in crisis too.

Newlife has become the UK’s largest children’s charity provider of specialist disability equipment, providing equipment such as wheelchairs, specialist beds, specialist car seats, walking and standing frames and communication aids.

The charity also runs the only emergency equipment service that aims to get loans of specialist disability equipment to families in crisis anywhere in the UK within 72 hours.

Without Newlife thousands of disabled children, many of whom have reached crisis point would be living in pain, unsafe, unable to do the things that we all take for granted and denied the opportunity to reach their potential.

Now Newlife in inviting you to help celebrate all they have achieved – especially as the last 12 months have proved so difficult. Despite this, Newlife continues to support disabled children and their families – and you can help them too.
