BANK STAFF MEAN BUSINESS

Derby bank staff meant business on Thursday night (Oct 13) when they raised £2,500 to help local disabled children.

The Barclays business team held a curry and quiz night at Anoki restaurant in Derby, with Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children being one of two charities to benefit. Newlife is the UK’s largest charity funder of specialist equipment for children with disabilities and terminal illness; it has supported more than 360 under-19s in Derbyshire.

Business manager Andy Tidmarsh, who is based at the Barclays branch in Sir Frank Whittle Road, Derby, said: “The work that Newlife does has touched a few people here at Barclays and we wanted to do our bit to help. We are delighted that local children will now benefit.”
