BUXTON WAITROSE SUPPORTS NEWLIFE

Waitrose in Buxton donated £525 through its Community Matters scheme to Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children – its biggest donation of the year!

Every month the branch at Spring Garden Centre donates £1,000 between three local good causes and in May one of the three was Newlife. At the checkout, customers received a token and then placed it in the box of the good cause that they wanted to support. The more tokens the charity gets, the bigger the donation they receive.

David Reeves, Regional Fundraising & Awareness Manager at Newlife, said: “It’s wonderful to see the level of support we have in Buxton, shown by how many people voted for us at Waitrose.

“We really need individuals in the community to come forward and support Newlife so we can help shape the future of children with disabilities or terminal illness in Derbyshire.”
