Cannock Christmas Choristers Sing In Aid Of Disabled Children

As the festive season approaches a group of kind-hearted choral singers will be bringing Christmas cheer to Cannock to raise funds for disabled children. Chadsmoor Choral Society and their orchestra will be hosting the Newlife Christmas Cracker concert in aid of Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children. The event on Friday 17th December will feature Christmas specials and a number of Christmas carols to celebrate the season of good will. And as a particular sign of good will the Choral Society will donate all proceeds from the concert to Newlife. Newlife CEO Sheila Brown OBE said: “The Christmas season is all about giving and sharing so what better way to mark this time, than to attend a concert which will generate funds for sick and disabled children? The children who approach us for help desperately need pain-relieving beds, wheelchairs and sensory equipment, but all of this costs money so the charity relies on the good will of many people to make this happen. I am so thankful to the Chadsmoor Choral Society for giving their time free of charge – what better example could there be of true Christmas spirit?” Newlife Foundation is the UK’s leading children’s disability charity which provides free help and advice and essential equipment for children. There are currently eight children in Staffordshire that need £7,134.54 for essential equipment while across the UK there are 126 children that Newlife needs to raise £371,765 to help. The Newlife Christmas Cracker event, will be held on Friday 17th December, at the Prince of Wales Theatre, in Queen’s Square, Cannock. Tickets cost £6 (adult), £5 (concessions) or £20 for a family.
