CHARITY PARTNERSHIP WITH GOLF CLUB RAISES £2,500

Ingestre Golf Club in Staffordshire has fundraising for Newlife down to a tee – raising £2,500.

Mel Jones President and Kate Robson Lady President of Ingestre Golf Club, Staffordshire, selected Newlife as their chosen charity for 2018/19 because they were inspired to help disabled children in their time of urgent need, knowing that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to helping children.

Members of the prestigious golf club joined forces to raise vital funds for disabled and terminally ill children through events which began with a special afternoon tea with a folk group performing traditional and Celtic music.

Events during the course of the year which included the president’s challenge which took place every Sunday morning at the golf course. There were quiz evenings, a friends for dinner evening and a Christmas concert with a luxury hamper being raffled.

Mel Jones from Ingestre Gold Club said: “All these fundraising activities together with the golf club members being very generous too, made it possible to raise a total of £2,500.

“Everyone involved has enjoyed their year fundraising for Newlife, knowing that 100 per cent of all the funds raised will go directly to helping disabled and terminally ill children receive vital specialist equipment when they need it most.”
