DARTFORD DAD SKYDIVES TO HELP DAUGHTER IN NEED

Dartford dad, Miguel De Sousa Costa, jumped out of a plane at 12,000 feet to help raise funds towards a specialist bed for his daughter Lilly.

Lilly has Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus which causes a defect of the spine and excess water on the brain, because of this Lilly is a full time wheelchair user. Lilly needs a specialist sleeping system as the standard bed she had did not keep her safe at night – having fallen out of the conventional bed several times the risk of injury for Lilly had increased.

The skydive is part of ongoing fundraising activity, organised by dad Miguel and mum Sarah Richardson, to raise the £5,441.50 needed to fund a specialist bed to keep Lilly safe at night.

If you would like to take on a challenge like Miguel and raise money for a great cause, take a look at the events by clicking on the relevant county webpage. There are also other ways to fundraise for Newlife, click here for ideas or call 01543 431 444.
