EDGWARE AND STANMORE ROTARY CLUB DONATE £2,000 TO NEWLIFE

Edgware and Stanmore Rotary Club have kindly donated a cheque for £2,000 to Newlife to be spent on specialist equipment for children with disabilities or terminal illness and their families in Greater London.

Head of Community Fundraising & Appeals at Newlife, Nora Smith, attended a meeting with President of Edgware and Stanmore Rotary Club, Suresh Bharwaney, who nominated Newlife as his chosen charity whilst he was president of the club. The £2,000 cheque comes as a result of the Rotary Club’s fundraising efforts, making a total of £4,628 donated.

Their donation has already helped a seven-year-old from London who has a condition which affects her muscles and makes it difficult to move around. She also has considerable weakness in her arms which makes it difficult for her to self-propel the manual wheelchair she was using.
