FABULOUS FUNDRAISERS GO MAD FOR NEWLIFE

Over a hundred ladies who lunch kept a very important date this week to attend a marvellous Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Monday 11th March at the Hilton Hotel, Cobham, in aid of Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children.

The afternoon kicked off with a delicious performance by members of local Rock Choir groups.  The Mayors from Elmbridge, Runnymede and Spelthorne entered into the mad spirit by wearing a fabulous variety of hats – with a prize given for the most ‘outrageous’ one.

Members of the John Lewis’ personal styling team were on hand to help with some of the latest hats and fascinators, advising guests on how to choose the perfect style.

The fabulously mad event raised an impressive £5,838 with Barclays Barclays Bank in Weybridge providing a boost with a pledge to donate an additional £2,000 taking the total raised to £7,835!

Organiser, Pam Ling, said: “I would like to thank everyone involved for supporting this event.  Through your kindness and generosity Newlife will be able to use this incredible amount of money to provide life-changing equipment for disabled and terminal ill children in the area.”
