FUNDRAISERS ‘LET IT GO’ TO HELP DISABLED CHILDREN IN DERBYSHIRE

Cartoon stars Queen Elsa and Batman were on hand at the Borrowash and Ockbrook Christmas lights switch-on on Friday (November 28) to help raise money to support disabled children in Derbyshire. In addition to a ‘Let It Go’ singalong with Queen Elsa, youngsters enjoyed puppet and magic shows – and an amazing £200 was collected for Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children. All the money raised will be used to provide specialist equipment for disabled and terminally ill children in the county. Behind the fundraiser was Louise Stothers, who wanted to thank Newlife Foundation for supporting her friend’s children, both of whom have a disability. Louise said: “It was an amazing night; all the children and adults loved meeting Elsa and Batman and singing along to ‘Let It Go’. It was great to be able to raise money for Newlife and I hope these funds will help other families have a wonderful Christmas.”
