FUNDRAISING STAFF SET TO GIVE DISABLED CHILDREN A LIFT

Briggs Equipment, headquarters based in Cannock, has chosen to support Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children as its charity beneficiary for 2017.

Briggs’ staff will be supporting Newlife throughout the year with a range of fundraising activities at their ten offices around the UK to help change the lives of children across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Staff have already been involved in or signed up to a three-hour spin cycle challenge, a skydive, the Birmingham 10km run, jeans days, an annual dance and holding Sparkle Parties.

Newlife Deputy Head of Community Fundraising Chris Fielding said: “We are delighted that staff at Briggs Equipment have chosen us as their charity partner for the year ahead and look forward to working with them. Every penny they donate will be spent on specialist equipment to help transform the everyday lives of disabled children. That could be anything from a wheelchair or walking frame for mobility to a specialist bed or car seat to ensure safety.”
