Cannock-based Briggs Equipment is partnering with Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children for 2017, to help transform young lives.
Newlife – which has its headquarters in Hemlock Way, Cannock – is the UK’s largest charity provider of specialist equipment for children with disabilities and terminal illness. The charity has supported 966 babies, children and young people in Staffordshire with equipment totalling more than £1,050,000.
Briggs Equipment’s Managing Director Peter Jones said: “Fundraising to advance the excellent work carried out by charitable organisations in the UK and overseas is at the very heart of our company culture and our employees are already planning a host of fun activities to support our chosen charity for 2017.
“This year, we’re delighted to be partnering with Newlife, which helps to improve the quality of life of disabled and terminally ill children throughout the UK by supplying families with wheelchairs and other vital equipment.”
Briggs’ staff voted to make Newlife their charity beneficiary for 2017 – and are already busy fundraising at their ten offices around the UK. Friday 24 February sees 30 members of staff from the Cannock headquarters on Orbital Way taking on a three-hour spin cycle challenge at The Village Hotel Leisure Club in Walsall.
