FYLDE COAST CO-OP RAISES NEARLY £300 FOR NEWLIFE

Fylde Coast Co-op Funeralcare raised £291 as part of the Tram Sunday event in Fleetwood.

The volunteers sold jewellery, knitted and craft items, as well as holding a guess the length of the Buddhist Hearse competition

All money raised will go towards helping children with disabilities or terminal illness in Lancashire.

Regional Fundraising and Awareness Manager at Newlife, Christine Anderson, said: “It was a fun day with a fabulous parade and I got to meet local families with disabled children who all now know about Newlife.

“It was lovely to see ladies from the St Peter’s knit and natter group, CHAT group leader Pat Bonnar and parishioners from St Edmund and St Wulstan Church. I’d really like to thank them for donating items for the event and coming along to support Newlife.”
