GLADIATOR JET TO OPEN NEW GYM AND HELP DISABLED CHARITY

A Gladiator will be jetting in to Cannock and will help Newlife Foundation, the charity which helps disabled and terminally ill children.

Diane Youdale, better known as Gladiator ‘Jet’, will officially open a new gym which caters specifically for women.

Energie Fitness For Women opens in Hollies Court, off Hollies Park Road, Cannock, with an invitation for women to go along on Thursday, May 9th, and take a look at what’s on offer.

Proceeds from a jewellery sale and a raffle on the day will go to the Newlife charity which is facing increasing demands on its services.

The charity is currently working with a total of six families in Staffordshire, with equipment needs totalling over £12,132. But the charity is experiencing hugely increased demands on its resources; calls to the Newlife Nurse Helpline – 0800 902 0095 – have shot up and there are thousands more hits on the charity’s website https://newlifecharity.co.uk

Nora Smith, head of fundraising at Newlife, said: “We are always looking for local heroes to help us raise money as there has been such a huge increase in demand for our services, particularly in the current economic climate.”

If any individual or organisation wants to help they can contact the community fundraising team who can offer support and guidance on freephone 0800 988 4640. For more information about the open day at the gym, visit www.effw.co.uk/cannock
