Sarah Richardson, mum of Lilly – who is currently in need of a specialist bed, held a fundraising party at The Royal British Legion in Greenhithe and raised over £2,000.

Lilly from Dartford has Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus which causes a defect of the spine and excess water on the brain, because of this Lilly is a full time wheelchair user. Lilly needs a specialist sleeping system as the standard bed she had did not keep her safe at night – having fallen out of the conventional bed several times the risk of injury for Lilly had increased.

As well as holding the fundraising party, Lilly’s dad Miguel is doing a skydive on the 13th March, with all money raised going towards funding the £5, 441.50 specialist bed to keep her safe at night.
