Trading at one of Cannock’s newest retail outlets reached record heights during its first weekend of trading. Newlife at Home, which is the dedicated home wares outlet of Newlife SuperStore, generated more than £15,000 of sales during its opening weekend. The outlet, which is on the site of the former Maymies Nightclub, in Hemlock Way, attracted more than 200 eager shoppers and was opened by Cannock Chase Conservative MP Aidan Burley, and his celebrity girlfriend TV fashion queen Helen Boyle. Newlife CEO Sheila Brown OBE says: “The event was a new venture for us and it has been a great success. We are so thankful for the support of Aidan Burley MP, Helen Boyle and the many others who attended to make it such a fantastic event. This is more than just another shop, as it will help us to generate more funds to help and support more disabled children, which is at the heart of the work of Newlife Foundation.” The shop opened on Saturday 23rd October and was blessed by The Reverend Elizabeth Frondigoun of St Luke Church, in Cannock. A number of customers remarked that the shop has a ‘boutique’ design which was just what the area needed. The new site sells a wide variety of goods for every room of the home and garden. New stock is released every single day and includes soft furnishings, rugs, linen, mirrors kitchen goods, furniture, designer items, luggage, small electrical items and much more items. All goods have been donated by leading retailers. The store has created new jobs locally and opens Monday to Fridays from 11am – 7pm, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 11am – 5pm.
