ON THE RUN IN BRUM TO HELP DISABLED CHILDREN

Calling all runners in the Birmingham area! The 2013 Great Birmingham Run is taking place in the city on Sunday 20 October and Midlands-based children’s disability charity Newlife Foundation is looking for enthusiastic fundraisers who would like to take part.

It is the biggest half-marathon in the Midlands and regularly attracts sporting celebrity entrants. You could be rubbing shoulders with people like past entrants Haile Gebrselassie and Micah Kogo  – quite literally – and can sign up to be part of the Newlife team by contacting charity fundraiser Keleigh Tomlinson on 0800 988 4640.

Minimum sponsorship required is £150, and every penny will go directly towards helping disabled and terminally ill children. You can even ring-fence your funding to be spent specifically in the West Midlands, where Newlife has provided 541 items of disability equipment totalling £763,354. Newlife will keep you informed of exactly where and how your sponsorship is spent.
