PUB REGULARS’ BUGGY BOOST FOR DISABLED CHILD

Fabulous fundraisers at The White Hart pub in Cannock have raised £366 to help provide a specialist buggy for a disabled child in Staffordshire.

Stephanie Wood and Robert Campbell took over the Wolverhampton Road pub at the end of last year and were keen to work with their customers to help make a difference to the life of a Staffordshire family.

Former RAF logistics corporal Robert is no stranger to helping children. During a tour of Afghanistan he prevented the kidnap of a local boy, receiving recognition from a leading Services charity.

Robert – better known to his customers as Rab – said: “Newlife is based in Cannock and does a lot of work across Staffordshire, helping families in life-changing ways. Steph and I want to get involved with local community life and so supporting Newlife was an obvious choice. We are lucky enough to have some great customers and they were keen to get behind our fundraising activities.”

Newlife Fundraising Manager Nora Smith said: “Our thanks go to everyone at The White Hart for their hard work and generosity. Every penny of the £366 raised is being used to fund a disability buggy for a child in Tamworth, so they can get out and about in comfort and safety.”
