To celebrate Newlife’s 25th anniversary, Area Manager across River Island stores in London, Gemma Doherty, raised £882 after holding a bake sale and challenging her team to ‘Give up for Giver Island’. This involved giving up something for a month and donating what they would have spent on that activity to Newlife.

Staff members from seven different stores took part and gave up something different, including alcohol, wine, cheesecake, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s. The staff raised £882 plus gift aid, giving a total of £1,015.75.

Many River Island stores across the country are organising various fundraising activities to celebrate River Island and Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children working together for the past 25 years.
