SHEFFIELD UNIVERSITY FUNDRAISING GETS THE THUMBS UP

Sheffield RAG (Raising & Giving) Society students raised £6,158.31 to help children with disabilities or terminal illness in South Yorkshire, after hitchhiking to Glasgow as part of the ‘Baby Bummit’ event.

Bummit is a charity hitchhiking society that has been independently run and managed by students from the University of Sheffield since 2003 and is part of the Sheffield RAG Society. 200 students took part in Baby Bummit where they attempted to hitchhike to Glasgow, and they also held a sale as part of their fundraising for Newlife.
