Waitrose in Walton-le-Dale donated £500 through its Community Matters scheme to Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.

Every month the branch at Capitol Centre donates £1,000 between three local good causes and recently Newlife was one of the three chosen. At the checkout, customers received a token and then placed it in the box of the good cause that they wanted to support. The more tokens the charity gets, the bigger the donation they receive. This time, Newlife received the most tokens!

All money raised will help children with disabilities or terminal illness in Lancashire.
