How you can fundraise at School

Get your whole school involved in fundraising for Newlife and help us to make a lasting difference to the lives of disabled and terminally ill children across the UK! Our friendly Fundraising Team are on hand to support your events and offer resources and tips to ensure success!

Sparkle Day: Join Newlife’s own fabulous fundraising and awareness day, held in March each year, so go to town with sparkle-themed ideas!

Break the Rules Day: Create a list of rules that children can break for a small fee such as wearing silly socks or having crazy hair styles!

It’s a Family Affair! Create a fun parent and child race at your sports day and ask parents for a small donation to join in.

Dance-athon: Whether it’s a music-filled party or a Strictly-style dance-off, put your best foot forward with a toe-tapping fundraiser! Even better, put on a show ask parents to make a donation to come along and watch!

Dress Down Day: A tried-and-tested school fundraiser; wear your favourite clothes instead of uniform for the day in exchange for a small donation.

Put the Sparkle into School

If you’d like your school to fundraise for Newlife, we’d love to hear from you! Our very own Sparkle Day takes place on the first Friday of every March, and you could celebrate with a sparkly dress-up day, sparkly bake sale or sponsored sparkle walk! We’ve got some great Sparkle Day school resources ready for you to download here: Sparkle Day school resources

And it’s not just Sparkle Day; your school can get involved in fundraising all year round, whenever suits best! From quizzes to coffee mornings and bake sales, fancy dress days to discos, there are so many ways your school can help make a difference to the lives of disabled and terminally ill children.

Staff and children at Castlechurch Primary School donned their sparkliest outfits for a fundraising dress-up day. Parents were able to make donations through a JustGiving Page. Sara Pearce, class teacher and SENCo said:

“We were very excited to have a visit from Nugget the dog, who is Newlife’s mascot, and Pine class asked him lots of questions all about Newlife.”
