March 7 is Sparkle Day, which means a day of different activities and fun – all to raise much need funds so Newlife can help disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.
Sparkle Day can be anything you want it to be, from dressing up in sparkly clothes, to baking some sparkly fairy cakes for your colleagues, or encouraging your child’s school to hold a sparkly drawing contest. All you need to do is fill in the form at the bottom of the page here and make your donation to Newlife.
Working together local communities can help to brighten the lives of disabled children – and every penny makes a big difference as Newlife provides specialist beds, buggies, wheelchairs and buggies to children and across the UK, as well as providing Emergency Equipment Loans, support for families through its Nurse helpline and Play Therapy Pods with sensory toys. See here for more information.
Other ideas for Sparkle Day include:
- Hold a sponsored Sparkle Walk at your school
- Host a lunch with your friends and family and ask for donations for refreshments
- Organise a tombola in your community group with sparkly themed prizes
- Best sparkly outfit at work
- If you are a budding artist, whether that’s drawing, painting, or pottery, you could make some something sparkly to auction with the proceeds donated to Newlife
- Hold a sparkle party with your children’s friends with lots of sparkle themed activities from face painting to cake decorating and jewellery making.
A little sparkle added to anything is sure to make it better, so you can have lots of fun coming up with different ways to celebrate Sparkle Day your own way.
And if March 7 doesn’t suit you, then you can have a Sparkle Day whenever you want, just let Newlife know you can receive all the support you need.
