Tune in next week for a virtual event which combines fashion, entertainment and fundraising in order to change the lives of disabled and terminally ill children through Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children.
On Thursday 20th May not-for-profit mentoring scheme Fast Forward 15 are hosting an event which includes a fashion show with key worker models, a designer item auction and raffle, as well as a line-up of motivational speakers and a dance class.
Every ticket purchased will donate money to Newlife to fund the charity’s care services – Newlife has been providing vital support to families with disabled and terminally ill children for 30 years and has changed the lives of more than 25,000 children. As well as its equipment grant service, it also runs the only emergency equipment loan service which aims to get equipment to families in crisis anywhere in the UK in 72 hours, operates a nurse-run helpline, loans specialist toys through its Play Therapy Pods and campaigns for change in local and national policies related to equipment for disabled children.
There are over 100 brand new designer fashion items to bid on, from bags, coats, and skincare from brands ranging from Gucci to Michael Kors to Moncler. Not only this, but there are other fantastic prizes up for grabs such as hotel stays, hospitality seats at a Manchester City football game, and signed Chris Eubank boxing gloves. There really is something for everyone, so make sure you don’t miss out!
Taking to the virtual stage is a global line-up of fantastic people. Amongst them will be Courtney Stanley, award-winning change maker and keynote speaker (USA), Rachel Stringer, sports presenter, and reporter (UK), and not forgetting a dance class with Lizzy Williamson, founder of Two Minute Moves (Australia).
Fay Sharpe, Founder of FF15, said: “There has never been a better time to highlight the hard work that the UK’s key workers have given us over the last year, and at the same time support, celebrate and raise money for the fantastic Charity, Newlife. This event has been put together by our 2021 cohort of our not-for-profit women’s mentoring programme.”
The Production Company, sponsoring the event, stated: “Once a trusted partner, always a trusted partner. Whilst it has been a couple of years since we have worked together, when our old client Michelle Wheatley reached out and needed help, we were always going to support where we could. However, she then told us about Fast Forward 15 and Newlife and it cemented our decision, we were all in. Both are fantastic causes which we’re incredibly proud to be supporting.”
Fast Forward 15 is a not-for-profit mentoring scheme founded by Fay Sharpe in 2014. The aim is to give women the opportunity to be mentored, encouraged, and advised by an industry expert, as well as becoming part of a wider community.
