Payroll Giving

Give as you earn; support us monthly

Looking for a hassle-free way to make a regular donation to Newlife? Have you thought about Payroll Giving?

Also known as Give As You Earn, Payroll Giving is a simple way to give through your pay, with donations taken directly from your salary each pay day. It’s also one of the most tax-efficient ways to give to charity, because the donation comes out of your pay before tax (gross salary) – meaning it costs you less!

For example, if you pledge to donate £10 each pay day, as a basic rate taxpayer it’ll only cost you £8, or as a higher rate taxpayer it’ll cost you just £6 because the taxman makes up the rest!

Your donation makes a difference…

Your regular donations will help us make a real difference to the lives of disabled and terminally ill children across the UK by providing essential specialist equipment and crucial support when and where it’s needed.

There are currently 1.7 million children living with disabilities in the UK, and it is estimated that more than 700,000 don’t have the vital equipment they so desperately need to live their lives to the fullest potential. Thanks to your donations, we are doing everything we can to change that.

Can you help change a child’s life?

Anyone who pays UK tax through PAYE can give through Payroll Giving, and you can choose exactly how much you’d like to donate – there’s no minimum or maximum amount. You won’t have to give us your bank details as everything is done directly through your salary, and if you want to amend your donation at any time, you simply need to contact your payroll department who will do it for you.

The first step is to find out whether your employer already has a Payroll Giving scheme set up. If they do, they can arrange to make donations through your salary quickly and easily.

If your employer doesn’t currently offer Payroll Giving, why not encourage them to get involved? Your organisation will need to register with an approved Payroll Giving agency to get the ball rolling.

And remember, if you change your job your donations don’t automatically move with you, so you’ll have to set up a new Payroll Giving scheme with your new employer.
