An award-winning family-run house builder has helped two charities recently – including donating furniture from one of its former Show Homes.

Bennett Homes, based in Nowton, near Bury St Edmunds, has given furniture from its Abbey Gardens development in Thorpe-le-Soken to the charity Newlife.

The items from the Show Home included mattresses and bed bases, as well as a dining room table and chairs.

These are being retailed through the Newlife Home Store, currently operating a Click & Collect service, in order to raise funds for disabled children and their families throughout the UK.

Dawn Urry, Sales & Marketing Manager at Bennett Homes said: “We were delighted to donate furniture from our former Show Home at Abbey Gardens to such a good cause.

“Newlife does amazing work in supporting families with disabled children who face lifelong challenges by providing nurses and equipment to help those affected by childhood cancers, birth defect, accidents, diseases and infections.”

Bennett Homes has also supported CRASH, the construction industry’s charity, which helps to improve buildings for both the homeless and local hospices so that they can focus on delivering essential services to those in need.
