To ensure nurses are more available to families when they need it most, the opening hours of the Newlife Nurse Helpline have been extended and are now available on 0800 902 0095 (free from UK landlines and mobiles)  from 10am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with extended hours until 6.30pm on Wednesday. There is also an answerphone facility outside of normal working hours.

As well as giving updates about applications, Newlife’s qualified and experienced nurses can also provide:

• Information about local health and social care professionals which may be able to help
• Information on national and local statutory and charitable services
• Support to address individual needs
