Join in the fun at your Workplace

You can get involved with Sparkle Day wherever you work, whether that’s at a hairdressers, café, garden centre, dentist or office-based – there are lots of ways you can join in the fun!

Get your colleagues together to brighten the lives of disabled children by hosting a sparkle themed fundraising event. If you can’t do Friday 1st March, don’t worry. You can fundraise on any day of the week to suit you, just let us know what you’ll be up to so we can help you along the way.

There are lots of ways you can have fun in the workplace on Sparkle Day. You could dress up in something Sparkly and make a donation, dress your desks, have a quiz with a sparkly prize, or download one of our sweepstakes. Don’t forget to tag us in your posts whatever you decided to do using #SparkleDay

“We absolutely loved taking part in Newlife’s Sparkle Day celebrations. We hosted a sparkly cake and samosa sale in our head office and encouraged our colleagues to dress up in their glitter and sparkles. People really got stuck in and loved getting dressed up in the office or for virtual meetings. There was also a sparkle themed raffle with prizes including a Pandora voucher and tickets to the Silverstone museum.”

Your support will change lives…

This is one-year-old Roman from Plymouth who has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, cortical vision loss, and complex epilepsy. Due to his medical conditions, Roman can’t sit up, crawl, or roll over unaided.

The family knew they needed a specialist buggy, but with waiting times of around a year from their local health and social care services, the family turned to Newlife’s Emergency Equipment Loan service to bridge the gap.

“The loan buggy from Newlife means we have been able to take him everywhere we need to go, and he’s enjoyed trips to the zoo and the aquarium too. It gives him the opportunity to spend a good amount of time away from home and helps his development, without us having to worry about the impact on his joints and posture – and it means Roman can just have a good time while we are out.”
