Mia’s Swim Challenge

A massive shout out to Mia who is the first person to complete our #SwimYourWay 2023 challenge. Mia pledged to swim 100 lengths in May with her disability swimming group. Not only did Mia complete the challenge, she smashed the £30 target to receive her swimming badge and so far has raised more than £450 for Newlife!

Small Gifts, Big Impact

Every penny you raise really will make a difference and help increase awareness of Newlife, the children that we support and the everyday difficulties they can face without access to essential specialist equipment such as beds, buggies, wheelchairs, and car seats. We really do appreciate every penny that is raised and donated.

We advise that you always swim with others, especially if swimming outdoors – and its always more fun with a like-minded friend or team!

Aiming to swim outdoors or every day? Please don’t swim in adverse conditions, check the weather, the swell of the water, the temperature, and your own health. #SwimYourWay is a celebration of swimming whenever possible as long as it Is safe. If you really want to reach the goal, you can always tag any missed days on to the end if necessary. There are no hard and fast rules!

If swimming outdoors we advise you use a brightly coloured tow-float and swim cap so you can be easily spotted.
Always let somebody know where you will be swimming.
Reach out and listen to experienced swimmers – there are some great websites, organisations and facebook groups jam-packed full of advice.
