SUFFOLK HOUSEBUILDER SUPPORTS COMMUNITIES WITH CHARITY DONATIONS

An award-winning family-run house builder has helped two charities recently – including donating furniture from one of its former Show Homes.

Bennett Homes, based in Nowton, near Bury St Edmunds, has given furniture from its Abbey Gardens development in Thorpe-le-Soken to the charity Newlife.

The items from the Show Home included mattresses and bed bases, as well as a dining room table and chairs.

These are being retailed through the Newlife Home Store, currently operating a Click & Collect service, in order to raise funds for disabled children and their families throughout the UK.

Dawn Urry, Sales & Marketing Manager at Bennett Homes said: “We were delighted to donate furniture from our former Show Home at Abbey Gardens to such a good cause.

“Newlife does amazing work in supporting families with disabled children who face lifelong challenges by providing nurses and equipment to help those affected by childhood cancers, birth defect, accidents, diseases and infections.”

Carrick Brown, Head of Child and Family Support at Newlife added: “Bennett Homes’ kind donation means so much to us. They are helping to keep the charity alive with the sale of product that directly changes the lives of disabled children through our vital care services.

“We support the thousands of disabled children and their families who turn to us each year. It means trained nurses are on hand to support families when they need us most and when a child is in urgent need, we can provide the right equipment to keep them safe. Newlife’s Click & Collect service, which sells these donated items can be found on our eBay store.”

Bennett Homes has also supported CRASH, the construction industry’s charity, which helps to improve buildings for both the homeless and local hospices so that they can focus on delivering essential services to those in need.
