A National Citizen Service team, ‘Optimistic Youth Association’, from Derby have raised £1,000 to fund two Play Therapy Pods for children with disabilities or terminal illness in Derbyshire.

The National Citizen Service is a government funded project supporting young people getting involved in their local community. The ‘Optimistic Youth Association’ team raised the money by completing a 50 mile sponsored cycle challenge, volunteering at the Newlife Heanor store, holding cake sales and bucket collections.
