New Year, new challenge for award-winning law firm Else Solicitors which will be supporting disabled and terminally ill children in the Midlands throughout 2015.
The Birmingham and Burton-on-Trent based firm – which was crowned Leading Advisor at the 2014 Midlands Family Business Awards – has chosen Staffordshire based Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children as its Charity of the Year.

Newlife Foundation is a leading UK children’s disability charity, providing a range of free equipment support services to thousands of families through its Nurse Helpline – 0800 902 0095. Disability experienced nurses offer information and guidance on a range of relevant issues and support families as they apply for equipment from Newlife services.
Newlife has provided more than £1,860,000 of specialist equipment for disabled and terminally ill children in Staffordshire and the West Midlands (Staffordshire – £858,213; West Midlands – £1,008,693).
The charity guarantees that 100 per cent of funds raised by Else Solicitors in 2015 will be used to provide disability equipment for children in the communities it serves. This could include wheelchairs and walkers for mobility, specialist beds and car seats for safety or sleep systems and stair climbers to help relieve pain.
Newlife Foundation Operations Manager Stephen Morgan said: “With applications to Newlife for essential disability equipment up 33 per cent, it is the backing of caring businesses like Else Solicitors that enables us to continue to support local children who might otherwise have to go without the day-to-day help they both need and deserve.”
