Herringthorpe United Reform Church, near Rotherham, is hosting an Evening with Rock Choir at 7.30pm on Saturday 18 March to raise money for three charities, including Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children.

Rock Choir offers an alternative experience to the traditional classical or community choir, pioneering a new approach to vocal training and entertainment. Tickets will be available on the door priced £5, which includes coffee/tea and a slice of cake during the interval.

The Herringthorpe United Reform Church has chosen to support Newlife as one of its church charities for the next two years. The Evening with Rock Choir is just one of many fundraising events planned at the church, including a Stag Festival: Hog Roast and Fun Day, as well as a Gastrick Band Concert and Strawberry Tea.

All proceeds donated to Newlife will be spent on providing specialist equipment to children with disabilities or terminal illness in South Yorkshire.
